My painting “Oranges” was created as a photo duplicate, where the goal was to replicate a reference image using watercolor as the medium. Working on it taught me how to observe light closely and mix colors more accurately to match subtle shifts in tone. I also learned the importance of layering in watercolor, starting from the background and gradually building up details to bring the composition to life.
